Painting with Plants at Conrad's Casita
Join me for a relaxed, guided painting class focused on learning how to paint from real life using plants and simple still life setups. All materials provided. For adults 18+.
This class is designed to help you build confidence with the fundamentals. Each session includes a short demo, followed by plenty of time to paint with individual guidance.
You’ll work from real plant arrangements in the shop and create a finished piece to take home.
No experience needed. This is perfect if you’ve never painted before or want to improve your skills in a relaxed environment. Feel free to bring your favorite snack or beverage.
Classes will be held every Thursday in June from 6pm-8pm at Conrad's Casita, located at 648 B S Main St, Del Rio, TX.

Single Class
Perfect if you want to try it out, join for a specific week, or cant make all 4 classes.
4-Class Series
Recommended if you want to build your skills over time. Each session focuses on a different aspect of still life painting, and you’ll see noticeable improvement across multiple classes.
You’re welcome to start with a single class and continue into the series later at the 4-class series rate (credit from first class applied).
June 4: Light & Shadow (Paint a Plant from Life) 10 seats remaining
Learn how to see light and shadow and simplify what you’re looking at. You’ll create a finished painting of a plant focusing on depth and form.
June 11: Intro to Color Theory (Paint Natural Greens) 10 seats remaining
Learn how to mix rich, natural colors (especially greens) and avoid flat-looking paintings. You’ll complete a finished plant painting with more depth and color variation.
June 18: Composition (Create Your Own Setup) 10 seats remaining
Design your own still life using plants and objects, then paint the finished piece.
June 25: Guided Final Painting (Full Still Life) 10 seats remaining
Create a still life painting from start to finish with guidance throughout, combining light, color, and composition in one piece.
